The annual Yosemite Renaissance exhibit showcases works by artists from across the country, inspired by Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.

Yosemite Renaissance was founded in 1985 to encourage artists to share interpretations of the region, explore environmental issues, and celebrate nature through art.

We believe it is important to inspire new generations to understand, preserve, and protect our wild lands and natural places.

Crossing Borders - Travel Photography by Michael J Costa

Crossing Borders, Travel Photography by Michael J Costa will open on Sept 11th at Gallery 5, with a special presentation by the artist on Sept 21st, International Day of Peace, established by the United Nations in 1981. Crossing Borders will include images from Costa's travels across the globe, including Nepal, Bolivia, Peru, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Vietnam. Crossing Borders is sponsored by Visit Yosemite Madera County.

Black and White Photography ~ Jerry Bosworth and Friends

Arms Open Wide will be on display one more week, closing just before the Sierra Art Trails Preview Exhibit, which opens on September 7th.

Arms Open Wide is a beautiful show, one of our finest, showcasing black and white photography by six very talented photographers.

Most importantly, we are honoring the work of photographer Jerry Bosworth who has been dedicated to black and white photography since before cameras were invented. If you have not seen the show, please stop in. It is well worth a look!

Intl. Challenge at Yosemite by California Plein Air Painters

2017 International Challenge Exhibit at Yosemite. This event will feature some of the finest examples of landscape painting in the world. 

TIMES:
9/30 from 10am - 5pm
10/1 from 9am - 4pm

In addition to the exhibit, we have a variety of activities available including the Awards Ceremony, Artist Reception (open to the public), demonstrations, paint-outs and workshops. Attendees will receive free access to Yosemite National Park to paint or just to sight see.

Sierra Art Trails gives art enthusiasts the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to purchase works directly from the people who create them. The show takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties.  The show features artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, glass, and more!
